From dembicky at apo.nmsu.edu Sun Dec 19 02:12:48 2004 From: dembicky at apo.nmsu.edu (Jack Dembicky) Date: Tue Feb 7 18:30:17 2006 Subject: [Lens] Lenses observered Message-ID: I observered the following lenses tonight for the PU03 program. HS2209 HE0435 and Q0142, althought this was aborted due to degrading seeing conditions. This was also not recored online, the first two were. Seeing was 1.2 arc sec when I started most of the exposures but tonight the seeing was on a bit of a rollercoaster ride and seemed to degreade during the exposures to up to 2 arc sec. We also did not have many objects to select from with these conditions. I took multiple exposures, focusing between each set to try to salvage some of the seeing, but I am not sure how sucessful I was. I also took twilight flats, but I forgot to turn the He and Ne truss calibration lamps off (I was calibrating DIS before I started the Lens program). So they are contaminated with He and Ne. I observed the Lenses in 3 colors r', i', and z' and with 4 exposures dithered between each (Using Bill's automated script program). Data has been copied to Princeton and OSU as well as archived to CDRom here at APO. Jack Dembicky Observing Specialist II Apache Point Observatory
