For those of you who have not lead public observing before, these are monthly events where members of the department use the telescope mounted in the dome to show visitors various nearby objects, and hold an informal Q&A. If you have not yet used the telescope but would like to volunteer, please do sign up! We are happy to show new observers how to use the telescope, and you will be able to observe with more experienced volunteers until you feel more comfortable.
